SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. The main goal of this process is to make it easy for search engines like Google to tell how helpful your website content is, so it can rank it higher in the list of websites that people find when they search relevant terms.

The more SEO optimized your content is, the more people will find and interact with your website content.

Website hosting is like renting a building or a part of a building, but for your website. Similar to how renting a business building allows you to receive customers and house products and employees, a subscription to a website host allows you to store and manage website content and services/products so it can be accessed by visitors online.

A domain, on the other hand, is a customized address that allows visitors to find your website without typing a long numerical code. For example, Google’s domain is “google.com,” which is easier to remember and type than its IP address, “142.251.46.206.” The connection between a domain name, its IP address, and your actual hosting are managed by a “DNS host.” Your DNS host and your website host may or may not be at the same company, depending how your setup is.
